For 50 years, Warringah Cricket Club has been one of the leading clubs in the Sydney Shires Cricket Competition, renowned for its success on the field and its contribution to both cricket and the Northern Beaches community.
Who can play for the MIG?
WCC fields five grades and an under 24's team in the Sydney Shires competition, Metropolitan and Chappelow Cup teams, Masters (Over 40s), Classics (Over 50s) and Vintage (Over 60s) teams, providing opportunities for players to compete, develop and remain connected to the game throughout their lives.
Pathways to Premier Cricket
At Warringah Cricket Club, we're proud to play a key role in the highly respected Manly Warringah Pathway Program, one of the most successful junior-to-senior cricket development systems in Sydney. Working alongside Manly Warringah District Cricket Club, the Manly Warringah Junior Cricket Association and the Manly Warringah Cricket Association, WCC helps provide talented young cricketers with a clear, supportive pathway from junior cricket into senior competition. The program is designed to challenge, mentor and develop emerging players, introducing them to senior cricket in a structured environment while helping them reach their full potential. Through the Pathway Program, WCC continues to support local players as they progress through the game, build confidence, develop lifelong skills and pursue opportunities at the highest levels of cricket.

Preparation for the Season
The season usually starts in late September, with training commencing in early August.
Preseason training in held on Sunday afternoons at Weldon Oval, or an indoor facility when needed.
During the season training moves to midweek, with sessions held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at Weldon.
A full season schedule will be posted on the website shortly after our AGM, held in July each year.
Player’s Handbook
Warringah has a history of having a strong culture. It is underpinned by strong values, and we hope to enhance these with our existing players and extend them through to new players and their parents who are joining the club. For those players wishing to some day trial for Premier (Grade) cricket, these expectations will be very similar to that of a Premier club, which means time spent at Warringah developing as a cricketer also prepares you for the expectations of grade cricket if that’s where you would like to play your cricket in the future. For those players coming to us from “park” cricket, you will love and enjoy the culture, even with the step up in expectations and involvement that comes with being part of a community club.
